The Midnighters: 2 - Highlight
You said your love lost herself somewhere.
Was it true, or was it that you lost her?
At dawn, she fell asleep in your lap,
But when the sun set, she took off like an arrow.
Across the street, and through your thoughts, she ran.
Alas, your pursuit was in vain,
For there was her silhouette, pinned to the sky;
Suspended in the headlights of her own car.
Tell me now; was it true? Or was it that she lost you?
